Rest in Peace Father Schmitt

It was with much sadness that I learned from another Maryknoll priest friend that Father Schmitt had passed away.  He and Father Edwin Duffy were long time spiritual directors for the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Homeschoolers.  I remember many fond memories of all the times we met as a group and all the spiritual guidance that this wonderful priest gave us.  He will be sorely missed.

Eternal rest grant unto Father Charlie O Lord, and may Your perpetual light shine about him. May he rest in peace.

A course on Confession and Forgiveness

Cardinal Manuel Monteiro de Castro serves as the so called Major Penitentiary. That means he leads the Vatican's Apostolic Penitentiary, which deals with grave sins only the Pope can forgive. Recently he organized a five day course, so that hundreds of priests and seminarians could learn more about that Sacrament.

Rest in Peace Father Victorian (Stephen) Van den Eynde

Father Stephen Van den Eynde

Sorry we are late in posting about Father Van den Eynde's passing. Eternal rest grant unto him o Lord and may Your perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Sadly, with Father's passing it brings the end of the Belgium priests in Hawaii.
